Spotlight on Copaiba: The New CBD?
- Posted by Julia Kahlig-Garuba
Among the thousands of plant species you’ll find in the Amazon, one of the world’s most promising (yet, not new) medicinal plants is the Copaiba tree. Indigenous people have been tapping the towering tree’s thick oleoresin for centuries to treat wounds, scarring, and chronic pain conditions. Researchers have found that the resin contains chemical compounds that work with the human endocannabinoid system, similar to CBD, to treat various inflammatory ailments throughout the body.
