5 DIY Foot Soaks for Tired Feet

5 DIY Foot Soaks for Tired Feet

My feet are the most neglected part of my body. It’s not that I intentionally neglect them; it’s that they take so much abuse. They carry my stress, and they carry my weight all day every day.

That is why I take my weekly foot soak ritual very seriously! To get started you’ll need one tool- a foot soak tub. They are inexpensive and oh so worth it! Pick one up for yourself at your local home goods store. (Check this one out!

Now, here’s the fun part. Pick your own foot soak recipe based on your ailment. You won’t regret taking the time to try some of these!

1. Cracked Feet

- 1 cup Listerine

- 1 cup vinegar

Fill up your foot bath halfway with warm water. Add three caps of Listerine. Soak for 25 minutes. Removes dirt and dead cells from the skin.

(I haven't tried this one, but got the recipe from this awesome blog)

2. Callused Feet

- 1/4 cup Sea Salt

- 2 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil

- 3 drops Peppermint Essential Oil

- slather of Attar of Roses Hand Salve

Fill up a jar with sea salt. Then fill the jar with olive oil until it covers the salt. Add 5 drops of tea tree essential oil, and 5 drops of peppermint essential oil. Scrub your feet over the foot tub. Apply a nickel-size amount of Attar of Roses Hand Salve (or any of our hand salves) to the tops of the feet, rubbing in with circular motions until you cover the entirety of the foot. The shea butter and beeswax from the salve will lock in moisture and heal calluses over time.

3. Tired Feet

- 1/2 cup Epsom Salt

- 5 drops Peppermint Essential Oil

- 1 drop Eucalyptus Essential Oil

- 3 drops Princess of Nerola Bath & Body Oil

Boil water, add Epson salt and stir until it dissolves. Soak feet in the water for 30 minutes, or until the water cools. Pat dry.

4. Smelly Feet

-1/4 cup baking soda

- 1-2 teaspoons of dried sage

- 5 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil

- Sprinkle of Eau de Provence Dusting Powder

Fill the foot tub with boiling water and add baking soda, sage, and rosemary essential oil. Let the sage steep until the water is cool enough to put your feet in. Soak for 30 minutes. After soaking, sprinkle Eau de Provence Dusting Powder on the feet to absorb any excess sweat and moisture.

5. Stressed Feet

- 1/2 cup Epsom Salt

- 5 drops of Eau de Provence Bath and Body Oil

Boil the water and let it cool to a comfortable temperature. Add Eau de Provence Bath & Body Oil and salt. Soak until fully relaxed.
