Fragrance Story

Extracted from the long dried pods of orchid plants that grow very well in Madagascar, off the coast of Africa. Vanilla beans are the long pods that grow off white orchid vines in warm climates like Madagascar, Bourbon, and Tahiti. Vanilla is the second most expensive spice in the world (second to Saffron), because it produces few pods and is notoriously temperamental. The Vanilla plant originated in modern-day Mexico, where the Aztecs used it as a fertility tonic. Today Vanilla is still considered powerful aphrodisiac, which makes it one of the most recognized perfume ingredients to date.
