    Fragrance Story

It has been said that lavender is the soul of Provence, its purple mountain fields stretching to the horizon, the herbal fragrance wafting to the clouds. Grasse, a small town in Provence, is called perfume capital of the world due to the intoxicating fragrance of lavender. In the Middle Ages, Grasse was known for its high quality leather, but it had just one flaw, the hides’ offensive animal odor. Perfumer Gallimard had the remedy. He made a pair of perfumed gloves for Catherine de Medici that later became the fashion of the era, launching a perfume industry in the small leather-making town that gained worldwide prominence. This oil combines the timeless essence of lavender with Provence’s other famous crop, jasmine, in a base of cedar.

    Suggested Usage

Our jojoba-based perfume oils last longer than alcohol perfumes, and won’t leave you in a cloud of fragrance. The oil sinks into the skin, sustaining its aroma throughout the day as your skin heats up. Apply in the creases of your knees and elbows for a longer-lasting, stronger scent.

Ingredients:Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Fragrance (Parfum), Benzyl Benzoate, Coumarin, Linalool. Cedrus atlantica (Cedar) Oil.

    A complicated fragrance

I tend to think of this as a citrus scent, but it isn't, actually. More of just a "plant" smell that I can't specify. I like it combined with lemon body lotion and powder, when I want to feel fresh and alert. It's a good daytime fragrance.

    Nice scent, but...

Nice scent, but roller doesn't work well and scent doesn't stay for long.

love the scent but the roller doesn't work

Received a sample of Eau de Provence with a different order. At first I thought it smelled like a mature lady's perfume but once I applied it to my skin, I absolutely fell in love with it. The jasmine notes became much more noticeable to me. I find myself reapplying it once or twice per day, which is to be expected with any natural perfume. After using up my sample, I decided to order a roller. My only complaint is that the roller ball does not work at all. I had to remove it in order to get any of the oil out!

    Smells amazing!

At first I was worried it smelled like incense but it really has a wonderful herbal/floral scent that makes me really happy. My husband likes it too!

Eau de Provence surprised me! I tried it as one of the samples I purchased. I normally only like the scent of live lavender flower not the oil or otherwise. It's top note is definitely lavender forward on me but after 30 minutes it dries down to a sweeter, calmer version.. like a distant field of lavender next to wild flowers and haystacks. I've never been to provential France ( or anywhere there) but it may smell just like this and I may one day find out!
